Mixed Emotions

It’s been a long night.

The donors organ was not up to standard. Lesions were found on the kidney and it was felt that it was likely to be cancerous with a risk the cancer has spread, compromising the liver.

I feel lots of emotions, sorry to have put my children through such an ordeal, my daughter was utterly distraught at me leaving, relieved that I don’t have to face this op …. yet!

Heart broken, so very heart broken for the donors family who not only have lost a loved one but will have to deal with the knowledge they can’t follow their loved ones wishes and disappointed that I have to face more days with this awful itch.

I’m tied, emotional, hungry and itchy. So with that I’m off to bed as its now 04.30 in the morning.
